This round bathroom copper sink has a standard 1.5 diameter hole at the bottom center and it does not have an overflow system. The copper sheet is 16 gauge (0.05″ thickness). This hammered bathroom copper sink is a beautiful piece of art. From a copper sheet the wise artisan hands transform it into this unique piece. The hammer footprint is very visible. The reddish/oxidized texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique in use by the copper-smiths. The rim is flat, allowing it to be under mounted.This copper sink was made from one sheet of copper, raised with the artist hammer, there are no welded joints.Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the copper-smiths still use, where no power toos are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape. We got this bathroom copper sink from the skilled copper-smiths from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. The finish is in a dark brownish color, which hides partially the natural copper-looking, but it gives it an antique look.
